Hildur Blom draws inspiration from nature, the magic that is biology and science, heritage, folk tales, and deep seeded curiosity. Utilization of subtle symbolism to create a positive omen for its barer is common throughout her work. She's worked with a variety of mediums over the years, including wool, glass, ceramic, paper fibers, printmaking, and collage. Tattooing was her dream since childhood. To have the opportunity to follow that dream and learn this ancient craft is a privilege. When she's not tattooing, she can often be found hiking with her dogs looking for inspiration, reading, or drawing and painting.
